Alex and Cam shared how our team has reflected on our approach to creating more inclusive technologies and spaces. They discuss why it’s critical to adapt our mindsets and view the not-so-unique ways that many people move through the world as an opportunity for better systems rather than an “edge case” to be deprioritized.
Sidenote: There were a couple of instances where Alex used “neurodiverse” when meaning to say “neurodivergent.” Although the term neurodivergent implies that there’s a “normal,” it’s a useful term to describe how someone’s brain processes information differently than what is considered standard or expected.
